I've decided to do another empties post as I think it's a good way to do a review and it saves me just throwing away products as soon as i'm finished with them.
The catergories for the products are pretty much the same as my last empties so i'll start in the same order.
Starting with haircare; the first product is the John Frieda Sheer Blonde Colour Renew Tone Correcting Conditioner. (and breath!). Now my hair has been so many colours I can't even remember, but lately i've gone sort of a dirty blonde colour. This took me quite a while to do and used several products but I wont go into that! Anyway, my hair had gone an awful bleach blonde colour so a friend of mine reccomended this conditioner to take away the gingery tone. As for toning my colour, it did work, but as the bottle says 'for best results, use up to 3 times per week' and I only used it once a week because as a conditioner, its amazing, and I only really condition my hair once a week as I like it abit more textured. So it has toned my hair, but it would have toned quicker if I had used it more basically.
Moving onto sort of body stuff; the first product is the Body Shop Shea Shower Cream. This product I have absolutely rinsed! I mean theres literally nothing left. I'm not usually fussy over shower creams/gels as when i'm at home I'll just use whatevers in the shower, but this came in a set that my brother bought me for christmas and I just grabbed it before I came back to uni after christmas and I must say I love it. Shea butter products can tend to be abit sickly after a while but this ones got a different sort of shea butter scent which I really like. It's really thick so you don't need to use loads which is always good. I also havn't purchased many of The Body Shop products in the past, but
I will definately be trying out some more in the future.
Next is sort of makeup/skincare; The first product is the Clinique Turnaround Overnight Radiance Moisturiser. This again was a little freebie from a magazine I think. It's only a 7ml pot but it has lasted me a few months. I didn't tend to use it overnight though as I have quite oily skin and don't really like leaving products on my face overnight so I mainly used it as a primer for makeup or just a moisturiser for after cleansing in the mornings. I like it because it's not too heavy and greasy and absorbs well into the skin, leaving a nice base for makeup.
The next product is, the Benefit Porefessional Primer. I have read Countless reviews on this product and have only heard good things. Again this was only a sample. However I was not disapointed. This is by far one of the best primers i've used and it really does minimise pores which is great for me. I would definately repurchase & recommend!
Moving onto makeup; the first product is the MaxFactor Age Renew Foundation in shade 70. Now don't ask why I have an age renew foundation and i'm 20. I think it might have been on offer or something. MaxFactor are one of my favourite brands for foundation as they give greattt coverage. And this one was no exception. It was quite mousse like and had a slight sheen to it. The only down side is that its in a pump bottle and I don't know why, but I seem to use up pump foundations so must faster. But overall a very good foundation.
And finally is the MUA Pressed Powder. I did a review on the MUA Heaven & Earth Eye Pallette & really liked it so I thought I'd try some more of thier products. I chose this powder as I don't really spend much on powders as I only use it to set makeup and not as coverage. This one was £1.00, so I can't really complain.

My makeup routine is usually just plain eyes with mascara and nude lips or sometimes dark purple or orange lips and apart from when I go out at night, I dont really tend to wear much eye makeup, usually just mascara. So I found that on my days off from uni its really easy for me just to have a really basic makeup routine; nice coverage with a slight glow, curled eyelashes and a subtle colour on the lips.
I havn't tried many BB creams so far as I have quite oily skin and they havn't tended to help, however, I have trusted no7 for a long time and I really like this BB cream. It's quite dark, but I think if you not wearing foundation, you need something with abit more glow. It doesn't feel heavy on the skin either.
Most of my MAC lipsticks are either dark or bold colours so I wanted to try something more subtle for everyday. The colour on the image hasn't come out great, but the Yash lipstick is a beigy-brown colour. It's also part of the matte collection which is nice to contrast with the glowy skin.
Products used; no7 Beautiful skin BB cream, MAC Studio concealder, MAC Matte lipstick in Yash & Eyelash curlers.

On October 18th I was invited to attend the LBD Cocktail party at the Photolink studios, Manchester. This was a great night of gorgeous dresses and meeting new bloggers.

Now i've seen quite a few of these sorts of posts from fellow bloggers, so for the past few weeks I have been hoarding all the empty containers i've used up and thought were post worthy. All these products I have really liked.
Starting with haircare; The first product is the V05 Nourish me truly shampoo for damaged hair. As shampoo's go, this isnt a major favourite of mine, It's just of those products you can use daily and its great value for money.
The next is the TREemme Heat defence styling spray. Now seen as I use this everytime I wash my hair, it has lasted me FOREVER, and I mean like nearly a year? I dont soak my hair with it, just a few spritz on wet hair. But the last few leave in heat defence products i've used have always left a residue on my hair when I dry it and so far this is the only one that hasn't, so i've stuck with it!
Moving on to sort of body/face products. This first is E45 cream. Now I know this has been around for years and years and many women swear by it, so you don't need me telling you how good it is and i've, like many others, have had grans telling me "put some E45 on it!". But just lately I have been getting really dry patches on my arms, usually when I come out of the shower, so I have just been using E45 cream on it and they have cleared up great. I also find the smaller tubes handing for carrying around me when i'm on the go.
Next is the Clinique Dramatically different moisturizing lotion. Which is abit of a mouthful for a moisturiser, however it is dramatically different. I got this sample in a copy of Glamour magazine quite a few months ago and i've been really pleased with it. I only really use it after cleansing and before primer and makeup in the mornings, but has kept my skin glowy and not as dry, especially now it's getting colder.
I have just finished using the MAC prime + prep skin base visage also. As primers go, this is one of the best ive used, It's up there with the Benefit Porefessional primer. It has a good consistancy and a slightly glowy shine to it to illuminate the skin. It gives a good base for my makeup and reduces shine throughout the day; what more do you want?
And finally makeup; I have only used up two products for this section, so here they are. Firstly it's the NYC Smooth mineral pressed foundation powder. This was actually a product given to me from a friend when she didn't really get on with it. I would most probably say it's more of a powder rather than a foundation, as I wouldn't wear it alone as the coverage is'nt fab. And unfortunately it didn't match my skin tone, and left me looking rather darker than I really am. However on a positive, it did last ALL day, there have been few times when i've felt the need to top up.
Last but not least is the Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer in the shade Medium 3. Now I have come to learn that this is a major "blog about" in the blogging world. Theres not a great deal to say really, it's just a reallyyyyyy good consealer. It's cheap and great coverage. This is definately my favourite from this review. So now all there is to do is re-purchase!!
Thanks for reading!
